Thank You God for my little Family ...

If you have been following me on Facebook then you would know why I am so greatful for the wonderful Man in my life and the 2 Awesome children I have. Its been quite an emotional week for me and if you are not following me on Facebook then you are probably wondering WHY..
Someone once told me,,,, "we always complain about our lives and how unfair life is and Blah Blah Blah... " but would we like to Swop our Bag of Problems for someone elses problems... and my answer to that question is definitly NO thank you.. I HAVE NOTHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT... I may not be the wealthiest person and I might not have all the worldly goods my heart desires but one thing is for sure, I have my Health, and A gorgeous Man who loves me and does not abuse me and I have two wonderful (Naughty...LOL) children... What more can a girl ask for. My story begins with an Old friend of 30 years, who had everything. A husband, 2 children, a Home, Cars etc etc etc. Today my Friend has NOTHING. No Job , NO Home, NO Car, No Furniture and least to say, Her kids are not living with her. Thanks to her "So Called Husband" she has even lost the sight in her one eye due to his abuse. The shame and the humiliation she has had to endure is enough to make anyone's hair stand on end. Her struggle is now living with Epelepsy due to the blow on her head . How is one person supposed to handle all of this ? and to top if all of , she has no family to even turn to.. This has opened my eyes up and I promise to change my pattern of thought from this day on.. I am a MILLIONAIRE when it comes to the precious people I have in my life and I pray that God will help my friend through this troubled time. I believe that one day very soon , God will make her whole again. Who ever reads this Blog, please say a special prayer for my friend. xxx

I am so Exited....

Well , I am not sure I have mentioned this on my blog before but I am starting a complete new venture. (I am not giving up Fairies Online) this is something completely different and I will have to 2 business to keep me occupied at all times.. (Hopefully)..... Anyways..... Everything is coming together quite nicely and hopefully by the time January comes I will be in full swing.. Our CC documents have come through and the bank account is open. I am now applying for the tax number as well as the Import code (Which I hope wont take too long) as I am ready to place my order with the USA... If you are wondering what my new venture is , let me tell you... its called "The Polymer Clay Store".... I will be selling all different Polymer Clays, as well as all your Clay tools , Clay Machines and Much Much More.... The brand that I will be bringing in from the USA is called Kato and I believe its one of the best clays on the market... I will continue selling the Fimo clays and Sculpey clays but will obviously Market Kato as I will possibly be the only one in South Africa selling that brand... I am taking a great risk and I pray everyday that this business will work and I can make a huge success of it... Xmas Fuglies

Part 1. The Head. OOAK Polymer Clay Baby

Well its only taken me like the whole night just to do the face of my experimental OOAK Polymer Clay Baby... I am so determined to get it right. I will keep going until i perfect this Baby... So far this is what the head looks like...

Its been 2 weekend is a row now that its rained and this is really not good for my stall at the market. I am praying that perhaps this Saturday the sun will show it's face... The market has been going so well and I am really trying to stay in a positive mode, so please turn off the taps on Saturday morning... LOL....

I have been very busy with making all my little "Fuglies"... I decided to put them on to my website and I am so glad that i did that as i have had so much response and some really nice orders... Thanks to all those who have ordered and thanks for all the wonderful comments and support.. To my Dismay, i have run out of eyes and will only get my delivery next week. Sitting at home wondering what I am going to do without the eyes for the "Fuglies" , I came up with another Idea and made them sleeping and this is how they turned out... "Sorry the picture is not of the best quality". I think he has turned out quite cute so i will make a few more sleeping Fuglies.... I have also decided to come out with a Xmas range of Fuglies, so keep watching this space for them.. They will only be ready in a few weeks...

Shongweni Market Sat 12 Sep 2009

Like I said in my previous Blog , I did the Shongweni Market on Saturday and it was Awesome. Woke up at about 4.20 am, got ready and left home at 5am to be at the market by 5.30am to start setting up... It was alot colder up there than it is in Durban North but, hey, I dont mind....

You cant believe how many people are there so early in the morning... Janet (my sister in-law) came too as she does all your crafting and scrapbooking stuff. We shared a stall which worked out pretty well... Had quite a good day for my first time so i will defnitly be contacting Christine regarding a permanent stand...

P.S. Thanks Janet for helping me out with some Bags and Wrapping , promise i will be more organised next time...LOL....

TGIF........

What a long dragged out week I have had.. I am so pleased that Friday has finally arrived and its the weekend... Like I said... TGIF......... Anyways , I am off to the Shongweni Market tomorrow for the first time . I have booked a stall and am hoping that everything goes well. The Shongweni Market is up in the hills behind Hillcrest and it's absolutly gorgeous up there... They call it the Farmers market because the Market starts at 6am (yes you read right) , very bright and early and it ends at about 10 am. Does not really give us alot of trading time but Ill'e grab what i can for now... If all goes well I will be there every weekend... Nobody there has fairies or pixies so i am sure that I am going to do well.... "Some Positive Thinking"...

What Awesome Service...

To my amazement, spoke to the lady from Eberhard Faber (puppen fimo) on Thursday regarding the Doll Making Fimo and all i can say is what awesome service she gave me. Nothing like i have ever experienced in SA before... By Monday Morning 8.30 my parcel with the Puppen Fimo arrived with Fedex from Germany... Wow... if only everybody's service could be like that the world would be a better place...

Well I have made some Fuglies with the Puppen Fimo and I am so impressed with the Quality, the Texture and the Smoothness of this Clay. I will defnily be ordering and using this clay in the future.. Thank you Sonja for your wondeful and generous service....

I am defnitly going to Cheat (My Diet) this weekend...

Its been 5 weeks of hell on the Dr Atkins diet and i have just about had enough of it.. I have lost 3.2kg and i think i will give it a break this weekend and start on Monday again... If i dont have the biggest Chocolate Cake that i can find i might just go through the roof.... Dreaming about food is bad , but when you start dreaming about Chocolate Cake then you must know that you are about to go over the edge..LMAO.... Sure it wont kill me just to cheat a little. I have been so good and so committed....

I have the best MOM in the whole world....

I simply have the best Mom in the whole world... Always willing to help and always willing to go the Extra mile for me. I mentioned to her last night that i have run out of Clay to make my order and with my Clay coming from JHB its always a little bit of a mission with the Postage etc etc... She organised to have a driver fetch the clay and the eyes for me this morning and it will be here tomorrow as someone is flying to Durban tomorrow and he will bring it with him, saving me the Postage costs... She is so thoughtful... I hope that one day , i will always be there for my children like she has been there for me... What would i do without her.... (Wont think about that, will I now)....... Ok, well its almost weekend and i am taking a trip up to Shongweni on Saturday, (bright and early 6.30 am) the farmers market... Want to arrange a stand for myself for Saturday Mornings with all my Sculpey Clays, Moulds, Fairies etc.... So come on guys.... If you are in the Durban area, feel free to visit the market and look for my stand. I will be there real soon.... There is going to be lots of Awesome things at very Awesome prices....

I am officially ADDICTED...

As you can see my little family is growing nicely, and what started off as a mere hobby and all for fun has now got people wanting these little "Fugly Buggers".. I have just landed an order for 10 of these little creature.. My friends and family are loving them and now i have an order to make 10... Oh well, i am going to be doing something i love and making a little extra money on the side... What a Bargain"

The Flu is Really going around...

Once again, everyone in the household seems to be affected by this flu that is going around. The kids came home on Monday coughing and sneezing. Dayne has had it the worst so far. I rushed him to the Doctor on Tuesday morning as he had a Temp of 39.3 which is not very good at all.. The Doc gave him 2 injections (Ouch, one was a Voltaren, which burns like hell) and a whole lot of medication (which doesn't come cheap). He slept the whole day but not much improvment. Wed , had to take him right back to the doctor as he had a terrible night and hardly slept and was running such a bad fever again... Can't take any chances with such a high fever and "Swine Flu" going around. Got some more Antibiotics and luckily the temp has come down and i can see a nice improvement..... Much to my dispair, Jessica woke me up at 3am this morning, Vomiting and not feeling very well... If its not the one its the other.. Sometimes i just wish that i could be sick instead of the kids.. I really hate it when the kids are not well. I feel so helpless.... They are both off school so hopefully by the time i get home today they will both be feeling a little better...

No wonder the Dogs are Barking all day.

This is exactly why the dogs are barking all day long.. The dam monkeys are up and down the drain pipes outside my bedroom window. And if thats not enough, they come right down to the dogs bowls and steel their food.. Our neighbours are complaining about the constant barking but who can blame the Poor dogs if the Damn Monkeys are simply taking over. There were about 30 of them yesterday sitting in front of our Garage... I thought Jack (Our dog) was going to have heart failure...LOL... I think the monkeys are doing it out of spite. They know it gets to Jack... LMAO...

No More Chicken, Eggs or Salad Please

Well its been three and a half weeks now that i have been following the Dr Atkins diet and boy oh boy am i sick of Chicken, eggs and Salad... If someone where to offer me a big slice of chocolate cake now, i am not sure i could say No... my body is craving sugar but my brain is telling me to hold out for another 4 weeks.. (LOL.. Does my brain really think i can do it) ... I have only lost 3.2Kg and it looks like it is stabalizing there.. Just a another 3 Kg's to loose and ille be happy... Its just very hard ... I go to bed early just so that i can fall asleep and not think about eating something nice or having a nice cup of coffee with sugar in it... Or perhaps a nice tall glass of coke... Oh how i miss drinking coke... That was probably the biggest challenge for me cause as we all know i can like to drink about 3-4 L of coke a day... I am a real sucker for a tall coke and ice.. Yummmy... (see now ime doing it again.. making myself want something i cant have)... Which idiot ever said woman must look after themselves and their bodies.. I bet it was Murphy.. Ill'e kill him if i ever find him...

An Awesome Birthday

I had such a lovely Birthday yesterday (2nd August 2009). And boy did i get spoiled... I woke up really early with a lovely cup of coffee next to my bed. Lawrence brought in 2 big boxes... In the one box was a little oven to bake my fairies in (And make Chicken) he he he, and in the other was what we call a "Parcel". All sorts of goodies in it... The kids bought me a Hot Chocolate set.. " A tray with Hot chocolate cups" Really gorgeous... My mom gave me some money which i spent wisely. I bought a new Kettle type Earn, which keeps the water hot constantly (I hate waiting for the kettle to boil) and I bought a 6 Draw set to put all my Art stuff in as its lying around the whole house and getting in everyones way.... Later on we went for lunch to a place called Meer Cats in Hillcrest and I got more Pressies.... Wow... I got the most beautiful Fairy standing nexto a Unicorn from Lawrence's Mom . I got a very special Home Made (Pink, my favorite colour) Scarf from Janet, my sister in Law and Kelsey and Paul with the most beautiful handbag. Geez i have been so spoilt, i can get used to it...LOL... The luncheon was behond my expectations. Lawrence and i have both decided we have a new favorite place to go to on Sundays... Out of this world... Thank you to everyone for making my day so special. You guys mean the world to me....xxx

Getting Better at it...

Not quite sure what the one on the left is yet, but we will just call him Fuglybugger for now.. LOL..... My pixies are getting better and better with each try. Hopefully one day they will look like real Pixies... What alot of fun i have had making these. I am addicted now....

The Sculpey Polymer clay that i am using is an amazing product to work with. There are so many colours to choose from and the Super Sculpey (Flesh Colour) is so soft and it does not crack at all. My next attempt is to make a fairy. Not sure how that is going to turn out, but i am going to give it a try anyway.

This is my First attempt at making some Pixies out of my favorite product (Sculpey)

What a lot of fun i had and not to mention how stoaked i am that they actually came out looking a little like Pixies and Not something else. I cant believe how many things you can do with all the Sculpey Products. My next attempt will be to make Wings using the TLS. "Translucent Liquid Sculpey" I will post some more of my creations as i go along. Hopefully i will get better and better at it...

Real or Not Real

Oh my WORD... I came across these while surfing the net and can you belive how real they look. The person who made these must be so talented. They are so real and so beautiful... But dont even think about how much they cost... Ok ille tell you.... R3500.00 each... Wow ..

Just A Nice Family Weekend

What a Nice Family weekend we had. Friday Night the boys went to the Rugby game at KingsPark in Durban to watch the Sharks vs The Bulls , I had to stay home as i was still not well enough to go out in the cold...Luckily they did not come home to late and (too Drunk)...LoL, cause i hate being alone and Jessica was sleeping at a friend. Saturday we all got up nice and early so that we could join Jessica at Crawford North Coast as she had a day of Soccer Matches... We intended going for an hour or two and landed up staying the whole day till 3... What a long day.. But Jess did so great... She is an awesome soccer player... (I forgot to take the camera - so no pictures sorry)... After that we decided to treat the Kids to Spur ... (its not very often we get to go so we took full advantage of it).. Got back just before the Rugby cause Lawrence could not miss the Haka.. Not sure i spelt that right... Sunday just another day being together. Washed the dogs, Lawrence had his car washed, watched a very good movie "Faith like Potatoes".... Had a good cry..... and what more can i say other than we had an awesome weekend....... Back to work for me tomorrow... Sure i never missed too much...

My Body Aches..

I have been Man down for 4 days now and still no sign of improvement. It all started on Monday Morning with a little sore throat. I now have full blown Bronchitis and i feel like crap. I was hoping to get out of bed today and go to work, but there is no chance of that happening...WALOS.. (for those who are wondering what that means..:" What a Load of Shit".
I dont get sick very often and when i do, i do a bloody good job of it.. Well hopefully by Monday i will be fully recovered and just thank my lucky stars that i don t have "PIG FLU".
My body aches from all the lying down but what else can i do... Kids are at school... I wish they were here to bring me some TEA....LOL

Wow, isnt this an amazing picture. I am still trying to make up my mind which one of us it looks like. My mom (Far left with Blonde Bob hair style) at her friends Tea Party just before she got married. I can see so much of my daughter (Jessica) in her and then when i look again i see myself and my Sister (Debbie) . The resemblance in unbelievable.

Where have all the years gone.. I get sad just thinking about it.

Time to Blog, at last...

Well as you can see i have not really been blogging for the last few weeks as i have been so busy building my Jewellery website. It took me a few days but is now fully up and running, linked to ,my fairies website, so hopefully business will start coming in... I have faith that it will just get better and better and hopefully one day i will be so busy i wont have time to look left or right...

As for my teeth.... they are almost complete. 80% of the way.. I have 2 more things that need to be done then i will post some nice pics... So far they are looking stunning.. You cannot believe the difference, Its Amazing....

Jessica and Dayne are almost on school holidays.. Jess is going to Chef school for a week during the holidays and as for Dayne, i guess he will just stay at home and drive everyone crazy... LOL...

Only 5 More Sleeps

I am still in 7th heaven about this wonderful thing that has happened to me and i cant get around the fact that someone who does not even know me, has never met me or even seen what i look like has actually taken the time to care about me.... Its just such an awesome feeling to know that there are really people out there that do care... Wow... i think i am going to be floating on cloud 9 for a while... I only have 5 more sleeps till my first appointment so as you can see , i just cant wait anymore. I am just so exited... I have a long (Lonely) drive ahead of me , all the way to Vryheid, but i dont mind. At this point in my life i will drive 2000 miles if i had to...

This Smile says it all

"Miracles" .... who would have ever thought i would have first hand experience in receiving the most AWESOME miracle ever....... I am still in shock.... As you all know, i have written to everyone , who is anyone about the trouble i am having with my teeth and finally someone is prepared to help me.....

This is a TRUE Miracle.....

I am going for my first appointment on the 18th of May 2009, i will keep you updated....

The place we now call HOME..

Finally we have moved in and are all settled.

Thank goodness because my back is killing me and my calves think that i have been for implants....LOL....

11 is a very lucky number for me so i am hoping that this means alot of good luck in our future here.

The place is still not up to "Scratch" yet but give us a week or two and it will be shining..

Hope i am going to get very fit walking up and down these stairs... I think i might have lost a kilo or two already. Moving in to this place was not an easy task... "Just too many stairs" Luckily now i only have to walk up them perhaps 3 or 4 times a day......

This is the view from our Balcony.. We are hoping to create lost of memories, "braaing etc" with family and friends.

The view is AWESOME.. we can see the whole of Durban, The Ocean and even the 2010 Soccer stadium that they are busy building....

What a wonderful View..... Cant ask for anything More..

New Begginings

Our Last day at the old property, i really thought things

were looking very Bleek and then i saw this Rainbow and knew that God was giving me a sign and saying "Things will be Ok"

We have found a place to live and thats the New Beggining.
